AFTER DARK FILMS ROLLS-OUT
NEW SERIES!
Prowl
Creeps center stage as one of EIGHT FILMS in the new
"AFTER DARK ORIGINALS" SLATE.

Los Angeles, CA (March 30, 2010) —
After Dark Films CEO Courtney Solomon announced the first of eight
movies in the AFTER DARK ORIGINALS series in partnership with
Lionsgate & Syfy, and in association with Dobre Films. A new take on
a classic creature, PROWL is written by Tim Tori (Hysteria,
Trespassers) and directed by Patrik Syversen (Manhunt). Bruce Payne
(Bernard), Courtney Hope (Amber), and Saxon Trainor (Veronica) star.
"Amber dreams of escaping her
small town and persuades her friends to accompany her
apartment-hunting in the big city. When their transportation breaks
down, Amber and friends gratefully accept a ride in the back of a
semi. But when the driver refuses to stop and they discover the
cargo is cartons of blood, they panic. Soon, panic turns to terror
when the truck disgorges into a dark, abandoned warehouse where
blood-thirsty creatures learn to hunt human prey, which the friends
realize is what they have now become..."
Prowl was Executive Produced by
Courtney Solomon and produced by Chris Milburn, Borislav Ranghelov,
Lucy Mukerjee, Michael Klein, Christopher D’Elia & Zachary Bryan as
a United Kingdom/Bulgarian co-production. Release dates for all
eight After Dark Originals are scheduled for Fall, 2010.
"Dobré
Films jumped at the opportunity to produce PROWL with a company that
has set the bar for branding and creating unique and great horror
films. PROWL and all the new Originals will be a great addition to
an already celebrated brand and won't disappoint" states Dobré
Films CEO Christopher D'Elia.
The 8 Originals represent After
Dark’s unwavering commitment to emerging writers and directors as
the focus of its creative vision. The creation of the Originals
slate is yet another example of After Dark’s belief in the economics
and artistry of independent film production. |

about three college students working on a documentary
for school focusing on what others dread in life.
Synopsis:
Red-hot young star
Jackson Rathbone, fresh from the smash film TWILIGHT
SAGA and the upcoming THE LAST AIRBENDER, stars in the
stylish horror/thriller DREAD. Stephen (RATHBONE) and

making a documentary about what people dread in life.
But they have no idea that their partner Quaid (Shaun
Evans, BOY A, TELSTAR), witnessed his parents being
murdered by an axe-wielding lunatic and wants to make
others experience his own personal horror. The three set
out to document people revealing their life’s most
terrifying moments. But Quaid quickly grows bored with
mere interviews and decides to take the study to a much
more visceral level, causing all three to become
vulnerable as they reveal their fears in front of the
camera. Just as Stephen and Cheryl realize they have
partnered with a madman, they also find themselves
subjects of the hideous experiment they brought to life…

Zombies
of Mass Destruction
SYNOPSIS:
An idyllic island town is under
attack by that most invasive of pests: zombies! Port Gamble is being
overrun with braineaters, and the people seem powerless to stave
them off. But wait, a rag tag band of rebels is trying to turn the
tide and push the invading hoards of undead back. It sounds
familiar, sure, but this time stereotypes are on parade (and parody)
in a retake on the zombie thriller. We have the full compliment of
cinematic shorthand, including the closeted small town boy who has
gone to the city and returns with his pushy boyfriend in tow; the
angry, hard-working, heavy-accented, immigrant from a Muslim country
who is overprotective of his beautiful daughter; the hippie peacenik
environmentalist; the fire and brimstone reverend who hates
everything you’d expect him to, and many more. Enter the zombies.
Gore abounds (really abounds) and the current events-based hits keep
coming. Gore abounds (really abounds) and the current events-based
hits keep coming in this send-up of zombie movie clichés where no
subculture escapes unscathed. --Minneapolis-St. Paul International
